Moving Into a Storage Unit

A crew can unload your customer-provided truck or container and carry prepared belongings into the unit. Before the appointment, confirm the unit number, access hours, gate code, elevator availability, cart rules, and how close the vehicle can park.

Tell us if the unit is indoors, upstairs, climate-controlled, or a long distance from the loading area. These details can materially affect the time needed.

Emptying a Storage Unit

When it is time to move out, College Movers can carry prepared items from the unit and load the customer-provided truck or trailer. The customer remains responsible for transportation, facility paperwork, cleaning, disposal, and closing the unit.

Reorganizing a Storage Unit

Need to reach items in the back or create a safer layout? A crew may help remove and reposition movable items within the unit, subject to safe access and the booked time. Decide what needs to remain accessible before the appointment and provide any shelving, bins, labels, or tie-down materials.

What the Crew Can Help With

  • Loading or unloading a customer-provided truck
  • Carrying prepared boxes and furniture
  • Moving items between the unit and an accessible loading area
  • Placing items according to the customer’s direction
  • Reorganizing movable items inside the unit
  • Moving between a storage unit and a home, apartment, or office when labor has
  • been scheduled for the applicable locations

College Movers does not rent storage units, transport belongings, haul trash, or provide the moving truck.

How It Works

1. Confirm the facility details

Verify access hours, gate instructions, unit location, elevator rules, parking, and whether the facility permits outside moving labor.

2. Book the crew

Choose your market, date, start time, crew size, and estimated hours. Appointments have a two-hour minimum.

3. Prepare the unit and truck

Have the customer-provided vehicle and supplies ready. Identify what is moving, what is staying, and any items that require special review.
